Review by Geoff Lawton
Elisabeth has been a good friend in practical permaculture for almost 30 years and I have always admired her practical approach to living a permaculture life and sharing her wealth of experience and knowledge.
This book is a classic for anyone interested in subtropical to tropical permaculture and you should buy one to help secure your health and survival. There is information in this book that I think you will find very hard to source anywhere in such a condensed useful form. In Elisabeth’s typically practical approach, it starts with the concepts of food forests, describes a great list of useful species and how to grow harvest and process, finishing off with a large valuable section of recipes.
